I’m not a very visually creative person, but with the help of Pinterest and the Internet in general, I can sometimes pull off something amazing. 🙂 Three weeks ago, my daughters and I threw a baby shower for my niece. I really wanted to make it special, so I went to Pinterest and got all sorts of ideas. Thanks to my daughter Kate, who knows how to make a balloon arch, and my friend Brian, who knows how to make soap, I think the shower turned out so cute. I’m just so proud of myself because I am usually one of those people who fails at Pinterest regularly. Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

I have a friend who makes soap, and he mixed a concoction of citrusy scents for these party favors. I designed the wraps to go around them from the invitation my daughter made. She got the graphics online somewhere.

My daughter made this cute balloon arch. The orange paper fans are from an online party store. I made my own tiered plate from some plates I found at the local second-hand shop. Notice my Amish doll in the background.

I made this cute banner by printing out orange letters and backing them with orange craft paper. So easy. So cute!

The table runner is just four pieces of craft paper. A bowl full of Little Cuties makes a super easy centerpiece.

I love how this looks on my Amish-made kitchen table.

We made brunch food, including cornbread muffins in orange polka-dot papers, bacon, fruit, and sausage-and-potato breakfast casserole. Smile, Kate!

This was my favorite part of the shower. I bought the two pitchers from a second-hand store and painted one of them orange. I bought the patterned straws online. I used some pint-sized canning jars I had on hand and tied them with orange polka-dot ribbon. My daughter made Orange Juliuses, and they were delicious.

It looked amazing.
